Miss Alessia Dinoi is the WIO-ECSN Co-opt board member from Italy. She is a Marine Biologist Researcher at the Integrative Marine Ecology Department, Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (Italy). She holds a Master degree in Marine and Coastal Biology and Ecology at the University of Salento (Italy). Miss A Dinoi is pursuing a Ph.D. in Marine Biology at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa). She is involved in research projects dealing with the effect of climate change and marine litter on marine fauna. She is a principal investigator of citizen science projects, marine spatial planning development and deep Mediterranean Sea expeditions.

She considers WIO-ECSN an organization where scientists can build a solid network between the WIO regions and improve the local capacities. During her leadership, Miss A Dinoi will contribute actively in the development of capacity-building projects finding solutions for each region to preserve of the coastal and marine environment. She plans to create exchanging experiences between Marine scientists from the WIO regions and abroad.
